Raw Caramel Slice


Raw Caramel Slice

This is one mouth watering raw slice that never lasts for long in our house!

2 cups walnuts
1 + 1/2 cups pitted dates
1/3 cup cacao powder
2 tbs coconut sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract or paste
Pinch of sea salt

Blend the walnuts in a food processor until they resemble fine crumbs. Add all other ingredients and blend into a sticky dough. Spoon into a lined square baking dish and press down with the back of a spoon.

1 cup macadamias
3/4 cup pitted dates
1/2 cup pure maple syrup
2 tsp vanilla extract or paste

Process the macadamias first then add all other ingredients until smooth and combined. Spoon the mixture evenly on top of the brownie base and press with back of a spoon.

1/3 cup coconut oil
1/3 cup cacao powder
2 tbs pure maple

In a pot, heat all ingredients until combined. Pour evenly on top of caramel layer.
Place the dish in the freezer for atleast 3 - 4 hours or until set.

Note: Store in an air tight container in either the fridge or freezer - we like ours best in the freezer!
