Raw Cacao Bars

With the salted caramel drizzled on top, these bars are a perfect chocolate fix for anyone with a sweet tooth!


  • 3 and 1/2 cups pitted dates, soaked in boiling water for 15min
  • 1 small banana
  • 1/2 cup organic rolled oats
  • 1/3 cup raw cacao powder
  • 1/3 cup shredded coconut
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 2 tsp vanilla bean extract
  • Vegan salted caramel chocolate, melted (buy from health food store)


  1. Line a square baking pan with baking paper and set aside.
  2. Drain the soaked dates and add to a food processor.
  3. Process on high speed until the dates are smooth.
  4. Add the rest of the ingredients and process until combined and the mixture sticks together. Add more coconut if the mixture is too moist.
  5. Press into the square pan and place in the freezer for about 2 hours or until set.
  6. Remove the slice from the pan and drizzle the optional melted vegan chocolate over the top. The chocolate will set within minutes as the slice will be cold. 
  7. Slice into bars or bite size squares and enjoy!

Note: Store in an airtight container in the fridge or we prefer the freezer for a slightly firmer bar.
