Cacao Açaí Bowl

Cacao + açaí make a pretty good combination in these fruity bowls! The cacao coconut flakes are quick and easy to make and can be used in all plant-based desserts - my children love them!

Cacao Coconut Flakes


  • 2 cups of coconut flakes
  • 1 tbs cacao powder
  • 1 tbs coconut sugar
  • 1 tsp coconut oil


  1. Place the coconut flakes into a bowl and coat with the coconut oil.
  2. Add the coconut sugar and cacao powder.
  3. Mix until well coated, adding more of any of the above ingredients if needed.
  4. Bake for about 10 - 15 minutes or until crisp.

Cacao Acai Bowl


  • 3 packs @amazoniaco frozen organic pure açaí
  • 1 tbs cacao powder
  • Enough coconut water for blending

Note: Additional sweeteners such as pure maple or dates can be added but I find the spotty ripe bananas and coconut water are sweet enough already.


  1. Place all ingredients into the blender and leave to defrost slightly for a few minutes.
  2. Blend all ingredients until smooth (you will probably need to use a blending stick and adjust coconut water as needed).
  3. Spoon into the açaí into bowls and top with fresh fruit and cacao coconut flakes.
